Last year members of 11044 had requested of this Grand Knight and the Offi- cers that we clean up our out-dated members list and get a true read for what member are really here. We have been doing just that and in doing so approximately 50 current men may be deleted from our roster. Because of this I really want all of you to take seriously our need to recruit new members. Supreme has asked each on of us to recruit one new member and I challenge this council to make a commit- ment to replace those lost by recruiting 50 new members this fiscal year. This will mean a net zero gain, but we’d be adding new active members to partici- pate in our mission of char- ity. What a great thing this will be. Next thing is I want to say is the need for all the sup- port you and your family can lend to our BIGGEST event of the year, the Old Fashioned Family Picnic on September 13th. Neal and Jim are fantastic at doing most of the work to set us up for success but they need manpower before, during and after the event. Please be prepared to help them in any way they may need. I know some of you are already involved and thank you for that. For those not yet involved keep in mind that this is a big deal and we need to all get behind Neal and Jim and insure its suc- cess.
