Being a Knight of Columbus means you give what you can when you can. We all understand that we serve many in many ways and spare time is a premium. It could be your family that requires a lot of time, extended family, church family or maybe the other missions you take on as a good Catholic gentleman. This being un-derstood though, a lot of people have an expectation of our service and that means man-hours. We find that it seems to be the same or much the same individuals who ALWAYS show up sprinkled with a familiar set of guys in and out frequently but not always. I ask the rest of you to keep yourselves informed of things we are doing by reading the FYI email after the meetings, ask a fellow Knight, or make it to the meetings first hand. We need a larger group of men willing to help those who are ALWAYS there. We have about 200 "active" members in our council and I would like to see some of them more. Keep yourself informed. We currently are planning two Friday Lenten fish frys and a meatless spaghetti dinner along with helping set up for the Blood Drive at SMG. Please keep in touch. We Really Miss You! Our Year runs July 1st to June 30th. That being said we all need to pray about who will be next year’s officers, directors and trustees. Generally names are submitted in this next month and we prepare to vote them in by our June business meeting. Many of our current officers, directors and trustees have said they are willing to continue to serve in their current roles. This is a big plus for our council because those who have served before will tell you that there is a learning curve and then a shortened time then to serve. They get more good deeds done and are able to groom a replacement that way. I have been very blessed these past two years serving as YOUR Grand Knight because of those who have served in their roles with me. Also, I am thankful for the past Grand Knights who have helped me with advice and their time along the way. If you have an interest in serving the council as an officer or director be sure to let me know so we can add your name to the list of nominees. I'll gladly answer any questions on what I have learned. God Bless, Frank
