As the fraternal year winds down and with the State Convention coming up I am starting to reflect on the past two years more deeply. In doing so I find that I really value the people who have served with me more and more. Many people look at a Grand Knight as the one who runs this council but this isn’t necessarily the case. You see, there have been years and years of faithful leadership that paved the way for those who have been called to serve now. I am forever grateful, thankful and indebted to ALL of those fine men who laid the foundation for our council’s success. I also have to say that the current (past 2 years) Officers and Directors that I have had the pleasure to serve with are the reason that this council has so many GREAT accomplishments and they deserve a thanks from me and all of you when you see them. This all being said for the benefit of those who are prepared to serve in a leadership role next year and as a summons to those considering serving. We need you! Join them as a Director of Programs or a Director of Community. These two roles are currently open and a great way to see what goes on behind the scenes so you might move into an Officers position in the future. I trust that even better things will come from our new leadership team. Please let me know if you feel called to serve. One more thing. If you have not brought in your friend or relative this year, there is still time for you to ac-complish this goal. When we took on the task of cleaning up our roster we committed to add back what we removed and currently short of that goal. Get them to an upcoming 1st degree! Lastly, look for details from the K of C State convention from your DGK Richard Kolic (next GK?) next the newsletter.
